First Penance
First Penance Parent Meeting—Sunday, September 30th @ 9:30am
 
First Penance Classes will be held on the follow Sundays during the regular class time:
Sunday, Oct. 21; Sunday, October 28; Sunday, November 4; Sunday, November 11

Celebration of First Penance— Monday, November 12th at 7:00pm with a reception to follow in the parish hall.

*Note: Proof of Baptism or Profession of Faith in the Catholic Church is required before your child can receive First Penance. If your child was not baptized at Holy Angels please make sure we have a copy of his/her baptismal certificate on file.

Your child must have completed religious education in a catholic parish or school for the previous school year before being eligible to begin any sacramental class at Holy Angels.
 

First Holy Communion
First Communion Parent Meeting—Sunday, December 16th @ 9:30am

First Communion Classes will be held on the following Sundays during regular class time:
Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008; Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008; Sunday, Jan 20, 2008; Sunday, Jan. 28, 2008; Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008; Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008

First Communion Dinner and Banner Session and Confessions: Sunday April 20, 2008 at 4:00pm.

First Communion Practice: Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 9:00am. All First Communicants must attend practice.

Celebration of First Communion: Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 10:00am.

Baptism
A preparation class is required of the parents requesting Baptism for their first child. Parents and godparents are encouraged to attend the class before the baby’s birth. (Baptismal preparation classes are scheduled as needed in English.  Baptismal preparation is offered in Spanish on the second Saturday of each month.

Confirmation
Confirmation is celebrated in the spring with students who are at least in the ninth grade and have completed the requirements for the 3 year preparation process in our PRE program. A minimum attendance percentage is required of all students in Confirmation Preparation (7th -9th grade) as well as a yearly service project/service hours. Final year confirmation students (9th grade) are also required to attend the Confirmation Commitment Mass, the Confirmation Retreat, successfully complete the Confirmation Exit Interview, and return all Confirmation forms completed.

Important Dates
 
Confirmation Commitment Mass - Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 10:45am (postponed until further notice)

Confirmation Retreat - The 2008 Confirmation Retreat will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Retreat Center in Dancyville, TN. Confirmandi will have two opportunities to attend the retreat. Retreat dates are Saturday, March 29, 2008, 9:45am—4:00 p.m. or Sunday, March 30, 2008, 9:45am –4:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. All Confirmandi and their sponsor or other interested adult must attend a Confirmation Retreat. Available spots will fill up fast so we urge you to make your reservation early. The cost is $15/per person and will be paid by Holy Angels. You can make your reservation by calling the retreat center at 901-373-1222 or emailing Ms. Marybeth Bolton at marybeth.bolton@cc.cdom.org. Once you have made your Confirmation Retreat reservation, please let Mrs. Deborah McCallen know which retreat date you will be attending and the name of the adult attending with you.

Matrimony
The couple planning to marry should contact the Pastor at least 5 months prior to the proposed date so all parish and diocesan requirements may be completed.

Holy Orders
If you feel called to a vocation in the Priesthood or religious life, or would like to talk about the possibility, please contact the Pastor.

Anointing of the Sick
If you wish to receive this sacrament, contact the Pastor. If there is an emergency situation, an immediate family member should contact the pastor.
